Who we are

The seed for UDR was planted when we were investigating the environmental impacts of e-commerce warehousing in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We saw that, time and time again, institutional climate datasets were sitting on government websites and in the hands of scientists or corporations, in places where community users would rarely find them and where the learning curve was steep to interpreting and using the data toward solution. Today, UDR joins communities to aggregate and elevate datasets and local knowledge. Together, we identify and advance climate solutions for and by people on the frontline of climate change.
